Cases in point: Ericsson,
Cisco, TeliaSonera, Jeeves
Ericsson employs our localization, translation,
conference interpreting and language training services. We translate
their marketing materials and localize their interactive courses.
Ericsson belongs to the customer group that has achieved a transparent
project flow, saving time and money, thanks to our iSystem project
management system.
“At Ericsson Enterprise we currently use iSystem globally
to transfer the large amount of data that Interverbum translates
for us. We also use it to continuously check the status of translation
projects in progress. iSystem is easily used and a great help
in our daily work. The upgrade of the system that we are about
to start using will provide us with extensive reporting possibilities.
The system is being custom-made to our requirements and seems
incredibly flexible. We look forward to using it,” says
Marianne Heilbuth, market communications manager at Ericsson.
Cisco Systems has entrusted us
with localizing their marketing material to 7 languages. Among other
assignments, we have localized Cisco's interactive IP telephony course
material for presentation on the Internet for educational purposes, and
on CD for marketing purposes. Interverbum was responsible for the
entire process, which included translations to Swedish and Norwegian of
the entire educational material - a total of 15 courses. The assignment
included translations of Flash movies including casting, time-adjusted
translation and recording of the speaker manuscript. We were also
responsible for pressing the final CD as well as designing and printing
the CD cover.
For a number of years, we have translated TeliaSonera’s
annual and quarterly reports to English and Finnish for the
group staff. We also have handled press releases in the same
languages.
In a survey performed by IDG, Jeeves was the
business system with the greatest number of satisfied customers.
Now that Jeeves is expanding in the international market, the
company has employed us to localize its software and documentation.
Interverbum has developed a company-specific terminology database
and promised to help reverse translation memories as Jeeves
makes the transition to English as its company language. Employees
will also receive English language training.
