Translation memories improve consistency and reduce costs
"Recycling" previously translated texts is one way in
which Interverbum works to make our translators' work more
cost-efficient. We try to use translation memories, databases of
translated sentence pairs in the original source language and the
translated target language, to speed up the translation process and
improve consistency of terminology and style of writing.
Up-to-date translation memories (TMs) decrease the cost of translation
since the number of words needing translation decreases over time as
the translation memory grows. As an added benefit, an extensive
translation memory allows for greater consistency of translations,
particularly when more than one translator is used on a single project.
We can help you build translation memories from existing documentation,
or improve the structure and functionality of existing memories and
continuously review, update and store them for you.
