2007-12-11: Interverbum Denmark translates environmental policy documents in an outstanding Baltic Sea project


Interverbum has been contracted to supply an extensive and lengthy translation for Ramböll Denmark, which deals with an offshore gas pipeline to link Russia and Germany. The end-customer is the Swiss company, Nord Stream AG. The project entails translating 500,000 words from English into the nine Baltic languages. Documentation detailing the environmental impact of the project is just one area of many to be translated.

2007-11-25: For the sixth year in a row, LISA extends a warm welcome to Interverbum's Lyra Spratt-Manning as Financial Supervisor


Interverbum's Lyra Spratt-Manning was recently elected as Financial Supervisor for LISA's advisory board, for the sixth year in a row. This occurred during LISA's Berlin conference in October. Spratt-Manning, general manager of Interverbum's office in Boise in western USA, stood for re-election.

2007-11-21: Interverbum opens a new office in the LA area specialized in localization for high tech and medical industries


Ms. Lorraine Navarro has signed a contract with Interverbum's Boise office, LS Manning & Associates, as a localization business development contractor. Situated in Seal Beach, California, Lorraine will be responsible for Interverbum's second office in the Western USA. In the USA, Interverbum is also represented with offices in Chicago and New York.

2007-10-22: Interverbum presents integrated terminology management at the LISA conference in Berlin


The focus of this year's LISA (Localization Industry Standards Association) conference in Berlin October 22-26 is Building Global Teams Locally - Outsourcing, European Integration and Globalization. Interverbum's very own Ioannis Iakovidis will present integrated terminology management and our terminology management system TermWeb. For the first time ever, we will present functionality that enables integration of terminology management into existing company processes. This exciting functionality is a direct result of the collaboration between Interverbum and Lingsoft, providers of technology for spelling and grammar checking.

2007-06-15: Interverbum opens its doors to business in Asia


Interverbum is now establishing its presence in Asia by opening two offices in Singapore - Interverbum Asia and the joint venture 10 AM Interverbum. "This move affords us closer proximity to our Asian clients and will improve our management of Asian language combinations. Taking advantage of the trend of Asian companies that seek the services of European companies, we aim to increase the number of translation assignments from new clients in the region," says Bengt Sjögren, Interverbum CEO.

2007-06-15: Stronger platform in England and extended network when Interverbum acquires British translation company Malla


On June 15, Interverbum UK acquired Malla, a translation agency that has been a supplier to Interverbum for 30 years. Malla boasts long experience, a unique network and an exciting client portfolio that strongly complements Interverbum's Nordic portfolio.
